Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

"You Raise Me Up"

Here are the lyrics to a song that has been playing in my heart for a few weeks here...it has been an encouragement to me and also a song that makes me think. I have also put a video from YouTube at the top of the blog, but sometimes you just need to read the words! I pray that it will bless you:

When I am down, and oh my soul, so weary.
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be.
Then I am still and wait here in the silence.
Until You come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be.
You raise me up so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up to more than I can be.
There is no life no life without its hunger.
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly.
But when you come and I am filled with wonder.
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity.

Hello My Name Is...

Hello my name is Ashley Jene and I thought I better reintroduce myself to all of you! I am sorry that my blogging has tappered off, it has been a while. Life just gets crazy with so many people under one roof! Please remember us this coming week as we will be heading to Sioux Falls for Ethan's doctor appointments. We do pray that they will be able to find something as it is beginning to look like he is suffering from brain damage. This can be caused by Encephalopathy, which he had been diagnosed with last year. Although, he was deemed to have Static Encephalopathy. "Static" meaing non progressive, and "Encephalopathy" meaning Disease of the Brain. After doing much research of my own, and his social worker doing the same, I am lead to believe that he has Glycine Encephalopathy, which pretty much fits him to a "T". You can view a discription of Glycine Encephalopathy HERE.

Much prayer is needed, we have seen this doctor before and she has stated then that she could tell something wasn't right on with him, but at that age it was too early to be able to tell or even begin testing. We will keep you posted!

Daddy?

One of our almost daily activities is now waiting for Daddy to come home. The kids really get into this.
Every time a truck would go by Ada Grace would say "Daddys?"

They really get excited when Daddy finally drives his Ford Truck into the front parking spots and they can see him walk up the sidewalk.

Ethan gets into the action as well as Ada Grace does.

Ethan and his eyes

Here is Ethan, now very excited to be able to play in Mamas room while she is working, since she cleaned up and organized (as best is it is going to be anyway). However, try to get a good picture of this kid with his eyes open, that is not so fun!
I even put a little basket of toys in here for them to play with. Ada Grace and Ethan are really excited to have toys in the living room, both their bedrooms, and Mamas room so they have lots of options. I actually have to THANK my parents for all the special toys that we have...so many that we have to spread them throughout the house.
SO THANKS MOM AND DAD!!! I am afraid that Jason does not have the same appreciation!

Ready for a bath?

So I have not posted anything like this before, but I hope that you enjoy it...I know my mom did!
But since I was thinking it and Aunt Wendy commented about it I just thought if you wanted to see bare bottoms more offen you can go to my cousin and his wife's blog here...Emma is a Harley Babe see that here!
Their blog site is the first link, Emma is a Harley Babe is a specific post!

We had the Suburban checked out yesterday and the auto doctor had a wonderful loaner for me to use! What a treat....curious? Arron, I know you will be jealous!
