Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Adoption Fundraiser

We have been praying since August 2nd of 2008 that the Lord would allow us to grow our family through adoption again, and my prayer was even by last Christmas. I have now changed that prayer to this Christmas, and would love nothing more than to not have to change to next Christmas! Our babies AG & EE are no longer babies, it is really hard to believe that they used to be this tiny! And it would seem that now would be a perfect time to bring a baby (or two) into the family because the kids are really into babies right now.
But that all depends on Gods plan...we are ready whenever the Lord works out the details, but you can help!

We are selling SureFire Coffee to help raise money for the adoption. The 12 oz bags are $10 each and out of that $10 we get $4 towards our adoption! And each bag will have a personalized label for our cause. It will have the picture of AG & EE hands from the top of this post and will say, "Help us bring our brother or sister home." They have four different kinds to choose from and you can get each in either ground or whole beans.

1. Sumatra:
Sumatran beans harvested by the Indonesian people known as Mandheling. A medium roast with a rich, syrupy body that exhibits flavor notes of earth, wood, caramel, spice, and grapefruit

2. Decaf:
A slightly darker roast than everyday decafs. The full body from the roast of these Guatemalan beans compensates for the effect of decaffeination, making this a more satisfying decaf than most.

3. Breakfast Blend:
This classic Viennese blend is full bodied and smooth. It exhibits flavor notes of oak and chocolate followed by a long smoky finish. Our most all-around blend

4. Dark Roast:
A classic “French Roast” coffee – Full bodied and smooth – without the bitter aftertaste.

Now there are a few different ways you can help!

***The first would be to purchase some coffee, if you provide coffee in your office buy a case (48 bags) or even a half case of mixed blends.

A case of coffee would raise $192.00 for our adoption!

Our goal is to sell 2500 bags of coffee to raise $10,000

***The second would be to help us sell the coffee. We already have two wonderful dears that have decided to help us sell the coffee. Each person around has different contacts than the next person and the more people selling, the more people are reached! If 15 people sold 167 bags of coffee, we would be 5 over our goal of 2500! Think about the people you work with, play on a sports team with, go to the gym with, etc....most people drink coffee and many people use $10 a day buying their fancy coffee drinks!

***The last way is if you are not a coffee person...PERIOD. I know there are some people like this out there where coffee just isn't for you, and if that be the case you could just donate the $10 or $20 towards the cause!

Now I know that the economy is not the best right now and doing a fundraiser at this time is going to be a little difficult, but it is a worthy cause...

Can you help bring home our Owen Oscar or Emie Danene?
