Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Good Bye Old Friend...

We did receive notice today in the mail, Jason is no longer the pastor of First Baptist Church. They let him go because they felt he had "become a liability to the general welfare of the church." We have until January 31st to be out of the parsonage. Thankfully, we have dear friends in this area that are helping us in all aspects of this transition...M & T, G have a home that is for sale that we are going to be able to move into. Praise the Lord for a roof over our heads!

Unfortunately the lose of a home and some income isn't the only thing we will be grieving. The home that is offered to us doesn't allow dogs. I had listed the dogs figuring that we were going to have to move on short notice and today I had to say good bye to my first baby, Meshach. We brought him home on April fools day of 2004...just 1 1/2 pounds, such a tiny little one he was. Our neighbors at the time thought he was a gopher! He has been an AWESOME loyal friend to us through good and bad and it breaks my heart that through this tough time we cannot be there for him. I am okay with the home he went to, he will be loved and spoiled, but it just hurts. Meshach has listen to me cry over so many things, particularly over the adoption process (before kids) and he was beside me trough each of our 4 miscarriages. I even would 'sneak' him into bed with me while recovering from them.

He will be missed!

Nema Jaylee and Meshach are so proud to announce the arrival of their 3...oh wait there's 4...no, I'm sorry there ARE 5... beautiful puppies! I haven't had the chance to see if we have boys or girls yet because she is still cleaning them off! Will def keep you posted!

ALSO A BIG CONGRATS TO MY COUSIN MICAH AND HIS WIFE GRETCHEN ON THEIR BABY BOY!!! I am sure that cousin Karsten could use some male company in the Grenz line up...

My Puppies...

Last Thursday Malachi & Nevaeh went to their new home to be with their new Mommy. I took some pictures before she arrived to pick them up...
This is Malachi, he is so adorable and I just hate the fact that I had to say good bye to him. But after much prayer (and my husband informing me it was needed) I placed adds on Kijiji.com for these two and Nema Jaylee.
Due to the extra work that goes into planning and preparing meals for Ethan, me being asked to apply & applying to be on the board of directors of the Northern Hills Pregnancy Care Center in town, and the idea that we are very serious about one Ethan is adopted or Ada Grace turns two (whichever comes first) adopting at least one more time, Jason just thought that raising doggies was something that I should reserve for my retired years!
Action shot, they were fighting over the same rawhide...silly puppies!
I feel terrible, I really wanted to keep Nevaeh (formerly known as Belle) because she was such a lady and I had already decided she was Ada Grace's dog. However, Ethan couldn't be happier, he has never been too fond of any of my dogs!
She was also just absolutely beautiful!

We still need a home for Nema Jaylee...if know of anyone that wants a Doxie...send them our way!

I will miss these guys...but they went to the same home and will be spoiled by far. The couple that "adopted" them are retired and he has claimed Malachi and she has claimed Navaeh and she has started a scrapbook for both of them!

Puppies!!!

I just had to share with everyone! Jason told me last night that I get to keep one of my puppies! I have not decided if I am keeping Buzz (the boy) or one of the girls (Beauty, Belle, and Bambi)

I am going to wait a little while and see who (Nema Jaylee or Meshach) they start looking like.

On the update side of things.

Beauty is almost double the size of the other puppies now, which I think is funny. She must be going to take after her dad who while he isn't a very big dog, had a bigger body stature that Nema Jaylee.

Belle's right eye is starting to open. All of the other puppies eyes are still sealed completely, but it could be any day now. Today they are 10 days old.

I do think that they are starting to hear a little, I am unsure how to tell when their ears have opened up, but some noises are seeming to startle them some.

They're Here!!!

This morning in stead of being woke up with a kiss from my husband, it was a cold nose from a puppy!

Nema had her puppies sometime in the night. Jason said they were still wet when he found thme. She seems to be doing very well with them.
As best as I can tell, she has 2 boys and 3 girls. I haven't touched them too much at this point, but we have one darker one, one dapple one, and three brown ones (two with white necklaces!)
She must not have had any trouble, all puppies seem healthy and she cleaned them off very well.
Nema is back to her skinny self, and Meshach is wondering what all then noise is about!

Merry Christmas!!!

I think we will have more than gifts under the tree at Christmas.
Our Doxie, Nema Jaylee, is getting very fat and showing signs of life in her belly!

Here's the proud Papa!
Our Pom Meshach!
He's pretty cute too!

We are not sure when the puppies are coming, but I would guess sometime this month by the way that Nema Jaylee looks, if you know anyone that would like a domerainian sometime late January or February....you know who to call!
