Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Fosering

Well, it sounds like our two "extras" will be going home today. They sure are alot of fun, but we have had some struggles with them. It will be kind of nice to go back to the "easy" life with our two babies again!

My Oh My!

As Princess grows and grows, so does her hair! I just cannot help but take pictures when her hair stands so tall! I think it must be at least 5 1/2 inches right now! Looks pretty funny when the only hair she has is on the top of her head, we still have not been able to grow hair where she rubbed her hair off about 7 or 8 months ago! We have alot of fun with her...her personality is just crazy right now!

We have been trying to teach her some sign language, and she understands the concept, but she makes up her own signs! She brings so much joy to our home! I thank God every day for bringing her into our lives!

Bed Time!

This is Daddy feeding the kids their last bottle before bed time. I have been counting on Handsome alot in the last few days, we still have two extra with us and I haven't been feeling great. He has been pulling double time.
The children all are really enjoying his time with them, and I am enjoying the pampering! What a wonderful person!

Guess What Honey....

I bought you something. My husband shocked me speechless today, he called me and let me know that we now own a new lawn mower! He really wanted a John Deere, but we would have had to buy it east river, and haul it back. So this is the next option. My husband doens't usually do stuff like this...so I was very shocked!!!

Happy mowing honey!!!

Fostering

Here are the cuties! We were "helping" Handsome with yard work after the babies went to bed tonight. We even hid from him once...we didn't pick a very good hiding place though...he found us right away! They then were showing us how they could do "tricks" they summer salted (spelling?) all over the church grass! They are two very well behaved children, we are going to be sad to see them go! I am sure there will be more pictures to come!

Boo Boo

Boo had a scope done today, he was so funny as we was starting to "go to sleep". He got really goofy! Once again, he was a trooper. They stuck the scope all the way down into his stomache and small intestine. He has been very sleepy today, but otherwise very good! I am proud of my little guy!

Sturgis Bike Rally

Here are some pictures for you. 51 weeks out of the year I would brag to you that I live in the best place on earth! However, we are coming into the 1 week that I wouldn't even mind spending "east river". Sturgis Bike Rally! Boo had a dr. apt. this morning in Rapid City, all 4 kids and myself were in the van and pulling out of the driveway at 6 am! I like traveling that time of day during Sturgis, the bikers don't get up that early!
Coming home, however, was a different story! We were in bumper to bumper traffic on the interstate going 45 - 50 mph in the passing lane!
Don't get me wrong I LOVE THE HILLS!

Third post, no pics!!!

Well all, I am sorry to say that I have no new pictures for you to see at this time. Though we do have two extras staying with us for about a week. They are very sweet chidlren, and we look forward to the week ahead. I also look forward to capturing their smiles sooner rather than later! Hopefully for tomorrows post there will be pictures. I am aiming to get some of the pooches on here as well. I think they may be feeling left out! Have a great day!

Great Man of God ~ Dr. Lee Roberson

I just found the following while searching for one of Dr. Lee Roberson's books online. He was a great man of God whom I had the opportunity to meet while in college. He passed away April 29th of this year...I had no idea.

Renowned Minister Dr. Lee Roberson Dies At 97
Dr. Lee Roberson, longtime pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church and founder and president of Tennessee Temple Schools, died Sunday morning at the age of 97.Dr. Roberson was world-renowned in religious circles. His longtime associate, Dr. J.R. Faulkner, wrote this account of his life:He was born in a two-room log cabin on Nov. 24, 1909, and spent his first two years on a farm near English, Ind., a small town in the southern part of the state. In 1911, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Roberson, took him to a farm near Louisville, Ky., where his father farmed, worked on streetcars, and built homes to make a living. At the age of 14, he was led to the Lord by his faithful Sunday School teacher, Mrs. Daisy Hawes, and joined the Cedar Creek Baptist Church outside of Louisville. After spending two years at the Louisville Male High School, where he received a diploma in public accounting when he was 14 years old, Dr. Roberson then attended the Fern Creek High School and was graduated after four years. While a student, he played football with the high school team.Brother Roberson entered Old Bethel College in Russellville, Ky., in 1926, and finished the first year. There he worked at various jobs from washing dishes to scrubbing floors to pay his way. From Old Bethel College, he went to the University of Louisville to complete his college work with a major in history. He also completed his work for a degree at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. At the age of 19, he was called to a church in Jeffersontown, Ky., which he did not accept. In his early years, Dr. Roberson was well known as a singer. Having studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and with the well-known teacher, John Samples, of Chicago, his services as a vocalist were in great demand. He served as a soloist on the staff of radio station WHAS of Louisville, Ky., and WSM out of Nashville. Doors were opening in the field of secular music. Dr. Roberson could have signed a contract with a certain man in the city of Nashville that, no doubt, would have led him to the top in music. However, he felt that this was not the thing the Lord wanted for him; so he refused to sign the contract. The first church that Brother Roberson served as pastor was in Germantown, Tn., while he was going to college. In 1932, he was called to be pastor of the Temple Baptist Church in Green Brier, Tn. It was there that he discovered the truth of the second coming of Christ. After three years with the Green Brier Church, where the Lord wonderfully blessed, Dr. Roberson entered full-time evangelistic work in 1935. He served as evangelist of the Birmingham Baptist Association; and within two years, he conducted some fifty revivals in the Birmingham area.It was while he was in Birmingham that he met Miss Caroline Allen, who, on Oct. 9, 1937, became Mrs. Lee Roberson. On the first Sunday in November 1937, Dr. Roberson became pastor of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield, Ala. In 1939, Brother Roberson was asked to be the state evangelist for Alabama. He felt this was not the Lord's will for him at the time, so the offer was not accepted. On May 2, 1941, Lee Anne, the Roberson's oldest child, was born. After five years with the Fairfield church, Dr. Roberson was called to the Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, in November of 1942. Brother Roberson, our pastor, is a man of God at home as well as at church. He has set an example of faithfulness and devotion to his family and to his convictions before his church and to the entire world. At home, he has sought to teach his children in the fear and admonition of the Lord around a daily family altar, which has reflected itself in the lives of the children.Dr. Roberson's devotion to duty and to his convictions has laid upon him a demanding schedule that has caused him, throughout his life, to get up early and to burn the midnight oil in prayer and study of the Word of God and the writings of others that he might maintain his burden to reach as many souls for Christ as he can, by every possible means. New sermons are constantly pouring from his soul and new books from his pen.Whether he be speaking from the pulpit of the Highland Park Baptist Church, the chapel platform of Tennessee Temple Schools, to his Men's Bible Class, or at one of many other special services, his messages are always fresh, fervent, and filled with the power of God. In speaking of him, someone has said, "He is truly the Spurgeon of our times."Dr. Roberson's daily schedule began with Bible study and prayer at 6:30 in the morning, followed by breakfast and devotions with his family, a broadcast beginning at 8:30 a.m., and a chapel service at Tennessee Temple Schools at 10:00. His morning hours were also filled with private conferences with church people and students of Tennessee Temple Schools. His daily visitation program took him into the numerous hospitals of the city as well as homes of the church members.Pastor Roberson's favorite Scripture..."And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." -Romans 8:28Life-Changing Printed Sermons by Pastor Lee RobersonHave Faith in God Faith for a New Year Tears Gone Forever Stir Up the Gift of God Keep On Rejoicing Faith and Five Smooth Stones Contending for the Faith Adventuring Faith A Mother's Faith Little Faith and Hasty Answers The Dynamite of Faith The Shield of Faith The Victory of Faith Does Jesus Live At Your House? The best husband ever!

As I anticipate our 5th anniversary coming in just 9 more days, I reflect on the past 4 years. My husband is a wonderful, devoted man. Everything he has the time to do, he devotes himself to. He is very committed to pastoring our little church, and he is such an encouragement to the members. He is very committed to his personal devotion to God. Along with, our relationship, being the best Daddy in the world, and picking up the pieces that I tend to let fall through the cracks. Looking at my my planner from July, I only had 3 days that there was not an appointment or event going on. That doesn't leave me a ton of time for my wifely duties (cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.) Handsome is good to pitch in where needed, as for the shopping, he takes care of the kids in the evenings so I can go without them. I appreciate him very much!

The first picture of Jason is him holding our mini doxie Nema Jaylee. The second picture is of Handsome with his brother and sister.

Good Morning Boo Boo!

The other day Boo woke up and discovered his cowboys on the side bumper of his crib. He was rather interested for a pretty good length of time. With all of the troubles that he has, it is sure fun when he discovers new things. He was blowing bubbles, and having a great time. My little boy...we are so blessed to have him in our lives!

More Hotel Pictures

When talking with different faithful readers of the blog...they stated they liked the pictures the best....so here are more pictures with very little words.

I think they speak for themselves anyway, right?

Mt Rushmores President View Resort

What a great evening! This hotel was fabulous! The first picture is of the front of the hotel where you drive to check in.

The next picture is hard to tell what it is, you could see it much more clearly in person. It is actually Mt. Rushmore! This hotel actually had rooms with private balconeys that you can see the great faces from! We will be staying in one in September (our anniversary is in August, but it is ralley week and we decided to wait until the rates go down for the off season!)

There are two pics that show views from our balconey! The hotel had a nice little patio area you could lounge on, and then the picture of the Black Hills. There is also a picture of our balconey. We sure enjoyed our stay! If anyone is ever looking for a hotel in Keystone...this one is a great one!

Hotel Stay

On Friday night we stayed in a great hotel. The Mt. Rushmore Presidents View Resort. We decided to get a Whirlpool Suite so that we could be in a "hot tub" and the kids could be sleeping. It was alot of fun...the first time we filled the whirlpool, we filled it with luke warm water so the kids could get in, we also added some bubbles!

As you can see here, the kids really enjoyed their time in the tub with daddy. Handsome asked me why I bothered putting swim suits on them, as we had the "little swimmers" but I thought it was important! Boo thought eating the bubbles was great fun, Princess wasn't so sure of the bubbles. It was more fun to watch them, than to sit in the tub! We also had a private balconey, and a great view of the Black Hills. We liked the hotel so much we booked a whirlpool suite with a view of Mt. Rushmore for our anniversary!

10 & 7 months ago.....

We were blessed! 10 months ago today we were driving to Houston Texas to meet our beautiful little princess! Our life is forever changed by her beauty! I cannot believe that it has already been 10 months, how quickly life changes. I know that it was a long road, but every single moment of it was worth it for our little girl!

7 months ago today our little prince was born, it would just take another 6 days to bring him into our life! But what a wonderful gift he has been.

We are so thankful the Lord has trusted us to raise these children for him. Princess and Boo are our little blessings!

Missed Picture

Some how this picture disappeared from the last post.
I do want my brother to know, it was very hard for me to add another post after the one with the picture of him and I. It really is my fav pic of Farmer & myself ever!

Sunday the 22nd

Happy Birthday Pancakes!!!
Sunday morning all of us were moving a little slow. I had to wake the kids up for church, and they really like getting to sleep as long as they want! Boo had some how gotten his diaper off in the middle of the night....that was a smelly wet mess!

We also tried feeding Boo again, a week ago he couldn't swallow the food, this particular day he did so wonderful! He couldn't get enough. When sister wasn't eating her food, he just picked up and started where she left off.

We went to church with Handsome's parents in White. Mama and the kids spent most of Sunday School, and all of church in the nursery. We had to wake them both up to load them in the van after church.

We ate lunch with Handsome's folks, and before leaving, had to wake the kids up again! They sure were having a rough day!

After saying good bye to tem, we stopped by Handsome's brothers new house. They moved out of Sioux Falls and onto a place in the country. The kids are already enjoying the room to roam!

The trip home was a little on the difficult side. Princess didn't sleep again, and Boo only slept for a short time! They were really tired of being in their car seats by Mitchell! We did arrive home around 11. We put the kids to be quickly, and got ourselves into bed as soon as we could. We both had to wake up early, Handsome to go to work, and I was to get the kids ready and in the van to leave by 7:15 for Ethan's ultrasound.

The alarm didn't go off so we ended up waking up at 6:25! It was a quick morning of running around, but we were happy to get a phone call saying that our friends had their baby at 11 pm on Sunday night! A little boy! Congrats L&C! We are so happy for you!

Brother and Sister

It did steal the groom for just a second to get a picture. I think this could possibly be my favorite picture of Farmer and myself ever! It is a real smile on his face, and he doesn't always smile for pictures. I have heard reports of Farmer telling people on Saturday that it was the best day of his life! So glad to hear that! Many more to come bro! I have to say he is one of the most handsome guys, of course My Handsome gives him a strong run for the title though! I do have to admit my dad is looking pretty good these days as well. He got a haircut for the wedding, and he is dropping some inches. I think he is looking younger these days!

Anyway, I just had to share this picture with everyone, I am proud to be Farmer's big sister! Love you bunches Re Re!
