Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Siblings playing in the leaves

It looks as if today was going to be our last day around 75 and so the kids and I used the opportunity to go outside and play...and well, take pictures! Lots and LOTS of pictures!
Here Princess is giving her dear brother a hug....or trying to tackle him?!? Sunshine was trying to take his shirt off for some strange reason?
They actually wanted to CLIMB the tree
Playing Peek ~ A ~ Boo
We had to add some of Mommy's table decorations for color and fun
'Picking' the pumpkins
Sitting on Mommy's 'wap'
Just chatting...
And stealing...

With leaves falling
Busy about their business...
Another hug
Holding hands...

Too precious!
Barefoot...
I LOVE their feet!
Naughty or NICE?
Like I said, I LOVE their feet!

Come back for the Princess post and the Sunshine post from today's playing in the leaves!

Beautiful Sunday Afternoon Walk!!!

We were able to use our John Deere wagon that Grandpa & Grandma Norgaard gave the kids for their birthdays today!!!

Ethan and Mama at the top of the slide, neither or the kids had been on a slide before! They didn't know what to think of it...
Daddy helping Ada Grace ride the duck, Ethan didn't like it.
Back in the wagon, as usual Daddy and Mommy (mostly Daddy) walk longer than the kids want. Ada Grace did pretty well, but Ethan was so tired. We let him lay down, but as you can see, sissy didn't let him get any sleep!

Almost home, you will see that our grass is green, Jason is in shorts sleeves, the kids do not have jackets on, and the upper hills still have snow (in the background.) I am not sure how warm it is today, my guess is 65 and they are forcasting 80's for this week...I LOVE IT HERE!!! You can also see little Ethan's head poking over the top of the wagon.
Mommy and Daddy stopped to admire Mommy's roses and Ethan decided he had enough of Ada's greif so we was trying to get out...he is actually on his belly with his feet on Ada Grace's tummy. I think they will keep me busy this summer! What a blessing to have the cutest kids in the world!

Our Kids!!!

Ada Grace is actually pushing her brother here, as you can tell he is going down!!! Now a surprize though, Sunday night she was tackling a 6 year old boy after church! Poor Ethan, he doesn't have a chance. PRAY FOR A BROTHER!!
This is a good of a "together" picture that I can seem to get these days!
Notice Ada's "guiding hand" on her brother's shoulder...someone has to be in control 100% off the time. Not sure how we are going to deal with this one!

Also, we are very excited to state that we decided to start working with Ada Grace on potty training today, she did pretty well. Of course, I am using candy for treats when she goes and she will do anything for food!

The Kids of the H.House

The first picture is of Princess and Boo at a birthday party we went to on Saturday for one of the boys in our church. My dad would be impressed...we bought him the DODGE remote control truck (I was really looking for a Honda, when the found the FORD I was sold...but since the birthday boys Daddy drives a DODGE I decided it was only right!)
This is AR (in white shirt) and CR (in Navy)
So far I have seen that they are very well behaved boys and very polite!
This is KR! Isn't she just the cutes little chunk in the world. I know I posted the other day that we were only going to have two foster kids, and then I told some of you that we were going to take care of sister Kailey during the day like daycare while foster mom was at work. Well I told them enough times that I was willing to take all siblings that first they worked it out so I was going to be a registered daycare so that I could LEGALLY watch her during the day (to keep the siblings together) but then they all decided to over ride the 'no more than 2 under 2" rule to keep them together full time. So we have 5 full time kids right now...when we said we were working to catch up with Handsome's brother) & wife (N.L 9 ~A.D 7 ~F.J 5 ~G.L 3 ~& K.H 5 months) we were kiding! Our poor Odyssey is packed to the limit...but it will get us to Thanksgiving at my parents house anyway! Good, trusty, HONDA!!!

The Kids

Princess really doesn't let anyone get in her way! She is trying to get the peek a block and brother is no obsticle for her! He doesn't seem to mind as long as she leaves his eyes and head alone!
Aren't they just the cutest kids you ever did see!

I just had to share this video of Boo with everyone...I know it may not be much to you...but to us it is an answer to prayer!

Wonderful Kids

Princess has been sleeping alot the last few days. Our kids have had a low grade fever the last few days. When she is so tired, she gets herself into the funniest sleeping positions! You cannot really tell from the picture, but her backside is sticking straight up into the air. Silly Girl!
Boo is still accomplishing more and more things every day. He is eating, and has a very healthy appitite, I must say! Once I put a spoonful into his mouth he loves to make the happy baby noises and shower Mama with squash!

This is a picture of him getting his first Cheerio into his mouth ALL BY HIMSELF! It took alot of effort, but determination is one of his strong points, it must be the boy in him! He also loves to make growling noises, that too, must be the boy in him.
For those of you who have not seen him in the last month...you are going to be amazed the next time you do, he is a differeny baby! The magnetic testing really paid off! His speech theropy is really helping him with noise making as well!
We are so blest, I am ready for more babies! Last night Jason even made a comment about being ready to make a trip to Texas.....the only thing we would go to Texas for is another baby! I am excited that he is ready, however, we have to wait a year due to South Dakota's no more than 2 under 2 rule. We are praying the Lord would allow us to go back to Texas shortly after September 28th of 2008!

Just Relaxin'

On Tuesday I was determined to get a good picture for Princess's birthday invites....you are all invited! Sept 29th at noon!
Anyway, her and Boo were just charactors that day...they didn't want to be very far away from eachother....and while I love my son, these pictures were really suppose to be all about Princess!
We ended up getting some good ones of her, but I also love this one...hope you do too!

Sunday...our trip home

It wasn't long before our weekend came to an end and it was time to come home. Sunday morning we went to the Baptist Church in Lake Benton. This is the church that my Grandpa went to, and we have many friends and family memebers that attend there.
After church we were able to meet up with my parents and Farmer & Wife for lunch at the Pizza Ranch. We had alot of fun with them, Farmer is always one to bring a smile to your face! Before we left, they took their turns holding the children. They are such caring Aunt & Uncle!
You all might think this picture is funny looking. It is actually a front view of our children's carseats in the van on the way home. They both are still rear facing and I had 'cought' them holding hands a few times and tried to get a picture of that, but wasn't able to. I was able to get a picture of Ada handing her brother a toy, I just thought it was too cute! Her little black hand reaching out to his little white hand. They love eachother so much!

Fosering

Well, it sounds like our two "extras" will be going home today. They sure are alot of fun, but we have had some struggles with them. It will be kind of nice to go back to the "easy" life with our two babies again!

Brother and Sister

It did steal the groom for just a second to get a picture. I think this could possibly be my favorite picture of Farmer and myself ever! It is a real smile on his face, and he doesn't always smile for pictures. I have heard reports of Farmer telling people on Saturday that it was the best day of his life! So glad to hear that! Many more to come bro! I have to say he is one of the most handsome guys, of course My Handsome gives him a strong run for the title though! I do have to admit my dad is looking pretty good these days as well. He got a haircut for the wedding, and he is dropping some inches. I think he is looking younger these days!

Anyway, I just had to share this picture with everyone, I am proud to be Farmer's big sister! Love you bunches Re Re!
