Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

July 4th

On July 4th we had a church picnic at Mr & Mrs Ks, I forgot my camera! Mom & Dad came and we went to Lead for Fireworks. The kids enjoyed them much better than the night before! We had a longer wait this time though..they said we needed to get to lead around 5, and they started at 10! There were lots of puppies around to help keep the kids (and Mama's) attention!

We had alot of fun, with the exception of Boo, who slept through the entire thing! He was very awake when we arrived home!

Pictures that were suppose to be included in the last post about watching the fireworks in Belle Fourche on the 3rd!

July 3rd 2007
In the hills here, we have several chances to watch Fireworks. On July 3rd we watched them in Belle Fourche (where our house is for sale). We were able to meet up with some friends of ours that will be having their 1st baby any day now!

We were wondering how the kids would like the fireworks. This was a first for both Princess & Boo, and we are not sure about B.

We will start with Princess, she was sitting on Mommy's lap and jumped with the first 2 booms. After that she did okay as long as I held her tight...she actually seemed to enjoy them!

Boo sat on Daddy's lap and was unable to hear the booms, so he really enjoyed the fireworks and watched the entire time!

B was sitting on Ls lap, and spent most of the time facing him...she didn't like the sound, and thought the fireworks were too bright.

We had a great time, the kids were really good considering how long we sat around!

A funny story, even though B didn't watch the fireworks when they were all done, she sat up and looked at Handsome and said, "More Fireworks!" Much to her surprize, right after she got those words out the neighbors lite a bunch of firecrackers...she jumped out of her skin!!!

Babies!

Well you know how I love babies, and my friend Aff sent me a picture of her little guy! He is now 7 months old....isn't he adorable! I just couldn't resist putting him on the blog, he is just too cute! So happy for Aff & J!

Last night scare!

Last night we had something happen that everyone hates to hear! The phone rang at 1:35 in the morning! I went to answer it (I don't think my husband even heard it!) and found our social worker on the other end...he needed an emergency foster home for twin 2 year old boys. They had just been taken from their home, and SW was having a very tough time finding someone to take them in. I said, Yes. I cannot think of having little ones with no where to go. Then I thought about all the doctor visits Boo was going through, including a hearing screen sceduled for this morning, and called SW back to discuss this with him further. I said we were still willing, I would just need help with some of the children during the test in the morning, but the rest of the week would be okay. Well, it turned out that one of the first foster homes in Rapid that were called ended up taking them in, I was relieve...but still willing. Just goes to show that we have no idea what is going to happen from day to day. It would have been crazy though...With Princess, Boo, B and the boys...it would have been like having triplets and twins!

Boo Boo

Boo has had a very rough little life. It isn't getting any easier for him, that is for sure. While he has been with us since he was 6 days old, he definately had a tough start. Since he came to our care, we have thought there might be something wrong with him, but until now there hasn't been too much that the doctors could see. There are now some things showing up that are worrying the docs. We have spent the last three weeks going to at least 2 doctors a week. Mostly in Rapid City, once again, Mr & Mrs K help by taking care of the girls while Mama & Boo spend the day together. He has had sleep tests, blood work, urine tests, an MRI, hearing screens, and is working with a Neurologist to work on finding the trouble. These pictures were taken yesterday after we spent the day at the Rapid City hospital. He is tired and very happy to be hangin out with Daddy. That is one of the little guys new outfits, we are still buying 3-6 months due to him being so small! Unfortunately the very adorable hat that came with it isn't going to last as long as the outfit itself, his head is measuring normal for a 6 month old! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers while we are going through these difficult times.

My Big Hair!

It is no secret that we are going to have a tough time with Princess's hair! I was working on relaxing her hair on Saturday, and before I do that I comb it out to get all the fuzzies out. Well, after combing her hair was really big! I couldn't help but take a picture, but to make it up to her, I took a picture after to show off her cute style!

Stamp n Scrap

On Monday, the 25th, we went to Mr. & Mrs. Ks house because she was out of cards...that means a stampin day! I wasn't sure how this was going to go with three kids, but I am always willing to try to STAMP 'n' SCRAP! B took very well to them (they are members at our church) in fact when it came to nap time, she wanted Mr. K to take a nap with her! They were able to get some rest.

As you can see, she is a very adorable 2 year old. It is going to be very sad to say good-bye to her on the 8th!

9 & 6 Months

Wednesday the 27th was the kids' "birthdays". Princess turned 9 months, and Boo turned 6 months. These pictures are of the "happy" children on their special day. We went for a walk, as Boo had a birthmother visit. Princess and B rode in the double stroller. Boo was able to ride in the harness carrier! What a work out I received! It was fun though, and everyone enjoyed the time in the sun, except Boo, who sneezes every time he is in the sun....but he used his big sister's hat!

That evening after church it was a beautiful night. The sunset was wonderful, so we decided to go for a family walk. Daddy pushed the two little ones in the double, and I pushed B in the single stroller. We walked all over town, and everyone was really tired when we returned home. Quick to bed!

What a wonderful day!

My Golden Birthday

Well, I am going to try to start catching everyone up on the last couple of weeks that I have not been all that faithful to posting. On June 24th, I turned 24! Since Birthdays are really big to me, I kind of put some pressure on having Handsome plan something fun for us to do. He did! We started out the day by going to church with all 3 children, than a couple in the church took us out for dinner to my favorite Mexican place here in town. After lunch, the kids all needed a nap, so Handsome and I watched an episode of Little House on the Prarie (Just can't get enough!) Jason then informed me that it was time to pack the diaper bag for the kids, he had lined up a babysitter for all three of them and a 4 wheeler for us to use. We were able to go through many trails, but lightning and a funnel cloud chased us home early! This is a view from one of the trails that we were on, the storm is rolling over the hills. When we arrived back to the babysitters, they had planned a suprize party with supper, cake, & ice cream! We had alot of fun. The kids soon needed to get home and to bed, it was wonderful. My husband hadn't planned on having both meals for the day taken care of, so we were able to go out for supper the past Saturday night so my birthday lasted an entire week! It was a ton of fun!

It's Been A While!

It's been a while since my last post, sorry about this! It has been a little busy around here! So busy I haven't really even taken any pictures! I do have a few, but the camera is in one of the rooms that is being slept in by one of the three children in our house! Last Friday a little girl (2 years) came to stay with us for two weeks. It has been interesting! Now we have a 9 month old & a 6 month old, and the 2 year old! She is really cute. I will have to get some pictures of her and post, so far she hasn't been comfortable enough to allow pictures to be taken.

Also, it was my birthday on Sunday!!! What a wonderful birthday it was. But I will do a post about that later. Just wanted to let you all know that we are still kickin'.

Bridal Veil Falls

We had planned on a family picnic over Memorial Weekend, but it didn't work out. So since then we have been planning a family picnic for today, and we didn't really do the picnic part, but had fun together as a family any way! We started with lunch at the local KFC (picnic food, right?) and from there headed up the Canyon. The first stop on the trip is the Bridal Veil Falls. This is so beautiful, the pictures just do not do justice! The children seemed very intrigued with the water. We hiked down the hill, through the creek, and up another hill to be able to be at the base of the falls. You could feel a cool mist (feels real good on a 90+ degree day!) and there was even a cool breeze. Princess kept making funny faces because she didn't know what was happening! It was much easier to do the hiking before two children, but it is always worth it to stand at the bottom and look up as the water falls on the rocks.

Picture #1 shows Handsome & Princess looking at the falls before we started the short hike.

Picture #2 shows Handsome & Princess sitting on a rock before we crossed the creek

Picture #3 is of myself and Boo at the base of the falls.
And aparently I put the same picture for #4 & #5, but I guess that just goes to show how tired out I am from the day! The children are very tired as well. We also drove up to Terry's peak (the popular ski attraction of the hills) and there was still some snow up there!!!!! I didn't take any pictures of it, so you will have to take my word for it. The road to Terry's peak kind of made me chuckle, as it appeared to be Spring ~ the tulips & daffodils were just blooming and get this.....the lilacs were also just starting to bloom! It smelled so wonderful! Anybody that wants to see the beauty of the hills on there own, call us, the H Hotel is open almost any time!

Rough Lock Falls

A little farther up the road from the Bridal Veil Falls are the Rough Lock Falls. I have to admit that Princess and Boo were not as impressed with Rough Lock, as they both fell asleep as Mommy & Daddy hiked the 2.7 mile trail. It was so beautiful! All of the rain that we have received this year is really starting to show as we are still very green, and every other year it has been rather brown by this time! What a wonderful family day we had today! Handsome even stopped by DQ for ice cream on our way home. We really had a great day today, enjoying the beauty of God's creation.

Photo Session

I just had to share some of these pictures with you! Yesterday I was just shooting some pics of the kids and I really like how they turned out! The pictures of them together, you can see how they really interact with eachother very well. In fact, I had to actually take Princess out of the room before I could get Boo to pay any attention to me! Two teething babie smiled pretty well! Princess is working on #3 & #4 and Boo is still working on #1, I sure hope that it pokes through soon!

Bath Time!

The kids had their first bath together the other night. Boo didn't like it when Princess splashed him! But they love their little ducky family that Pancake gave them!

Golf Ball Size Hail

This is what our first rose looked like after golf ball size hail last night!!

Roses

I thought it was maybe time to share a some pictures of our house! You don't get to see inside yet because we are no where near finished unpacking and it is very disorganized!

Here is a picture of my first rose bloom this year! We have 10 rose bushes in front of our house, 9 regular bushes and 1 climbing rose! I am really excited about them, and it looks like I will be having 3 yellow roses open today or tomorrow!

Here us a picture of our new house. We still have lots of work to do in order to get the outside looking great, but we have come a long way....I don't have any before pictures so you will just have to take my word for it! There used to be rocks on the other side of the sidewalk, but we took them out and planted grass. The rocks also were in front of the house where the rose bushes are. On the side of the walk where the rocks are, we have Day Lilys planted all along, with a few pink & white daffodils, pink Canterberry Belles, and there will be deep blue Wisteria growing up the arbor! We cannot wait to see what it will all look like when in full bloom, we will have to wait for next summer to see some of it. The house is being resided, and it is a surprise as to what color it will be, all I know is that it isn't going to be white. There will also be two bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, and hydrangea to the right of the door.

Let's try this again!

I was told by a few people that the blue print in "New Toys" is showing through in yellow...so I decided to just repost the font in a different color. Hope you all can read it this time!

This week Princess's toy FINALLY came. A few weeks ago Boo's Rainforest swing came in the mail, and we have been expecting this Rainforest Jumperoo since then. We are so excited about it, Princess is too! She just jumps and jumps until she is tired, then it is time for a nap! It is a really neat toy, it does take batteries, but every time she jumps it makes rainforest sounds. These pictures are of the first time she was in the jumperoo. (And for Pancake's information, she is wearing the sparkly princess shirt you just gave her!)

My Wonderful Brother, Farmer

I just had to take this picture of my brother when we were leaving his house last Sunday evening. Handsome had helped him with some electrical project, and Farmer walked us out to the van. He wasn't really going to let me take his picture, but after chasing him around the tree for a while, he finally gave in. *Notice his pant legs & his boots*

For anyone who may not have been to Farmer's house, that is part of it in the back ground. They really have a nice house! An aweful lot of John Deere Tractors in the living room, but a nice house none the less! I don't know how Farmer's Wife puts up with it! Heehee.
