Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Hotel Stay!!!

Friday evening we decided to go to a hotel with our two and relax, this have been a little stressful with the other situation lately and we needed a break. The hotel room was small, but the kids liked the mirrors behind the bed...they kissed themselves often!

Pics from last week

This was last Tuesday, Ethan was so tired he fell asleep in his high chair! Ethan & Mommy have not been sleeping so well the last little while.

For a while last week Ada and Ethan had to sleep in Mommy's very disorganized office. Ada Grace really enjoyed the screen saver slide show and naming who she saw. Puppy, Grandpa, Ethan, Andre, and Daddy were among her favorites!

Ethan's Doctor

Today the heart doctor said that we have nothing to worry about when it comes to Ethan's Heart. He told us that sometimes with fair skinned, thinner children the veins show up more, and since they are thin their temperature is more difficult to control.

This is a blessing, but we do wonder why he seems so sick, yet no doctor can put their finger on what it is that is troubling him.

Ethan Alexander

Please pray for us today as we see a Heart Specialist. This could be the second beginning to all the appointments like we had before. We do could the last few months as a blessing with Ethan doing very well in that time, it is seeming that we have taken a few steps backward once again and hopefully with a change in doctors to a Christian who sincerely cares about his well being, we will finally get to the bottom of his health problems once and for all.

Today we have wind gusts up to 60 mph, there will be light snow, and I am driving our Suburban to Rapid! I am a little nervous about this, but I know God is in control.

And just to keep you all updated, we also are going to Sioux Falls the end of February to go to Sanford Health for some special testing and to see Dr Bunch the pediatric neurologist there. The EEG that we had done January 2nd showed to be very abnormal, this is the cause for the testing and what not in Sioux Falls!

Puppies are spoken for!

When Kiara came to look at Bambi today she brought her friend Bernita with her, now Kiara will be owned by Bambi and Bernita will be owned by Buzz!

This puppy experience has been a good one and I am thankful that all the puppies have loving homes to go to. I cannot wait until we have our next litter!

Our New Puppy

I found out today that our puppy is the one in the middle. We are still looking for a name, and I hope you all will vote on the right side for which name you choose he is coming home Monday around 5 so please help us out!

Update on our puppies:

Beauty is now Sadie (the darkest one) and will be going to her new home in Sioux Falls the 27th of February. She now owns Tracy.

Belle is now Nevaeh Ashon and is already home!!! She now owns me!

Bambi is being checked out tomorrow by a lady from Lead who has said she will probably keep her name Bambi if she gets her! Hopefully she will have a home to own as of tomorrow!

Buzz is still looking for his family that will love him and care for him, do you need a little buddy?

Puppies!

If anyone knows of someone that wants a wonderful little puppy let me know! I have two for sale! A boy and a girl! I have had two people contact me about them, one hadn't asked her parents before telling me she would take the boy and one just decided she didn't want the pomeranian mix.

Contact me for more details and how much I am asking and that sort of thing!!! They are beautiful puppies and just need someone to love them!

Last trip in the Honda...

I have pictures of a few of the family members with our last night out in the minivan (obviously this was last week and I am a little behind with pictures!)
Not the greatest of Princess, but none the less.

Okay, so none of the pictures are the greatest, but the subjects are the cutest!

Our new little guy...

One of these puppies will be coming home with me next Saturday. I am not sure which one is our little guy...but I need suggestion for names...please submit your suggestions in the comment section!

Puppies are 1 month old!!!

This is Bambi, she and Belle are the smallest of the 4. I think that Bambi is soo cute because of the darkness around her eyes, ears, and on her tail!
This is Beauty, she is spoken for already and will be going to her knew home in Sioux Falls. She really has a personality! She is the biggest of the bunch and is the first one to the dish at feeding time! She also goes in reverse very well!
This is Belle, the one we are considering keeping. If we keep her, her knew name will be Nevaeh Ashon. Since her Mama's Name is Nema (Amen backwards) Jaylee (Jason and Ashley smushed together) and thought that that Heaven backwards (Nevaeh) and Ashon (Jason and Ashley smushed together) would be a great name!
This is Buzz, our little boy. His sisters pick on him all the time! He is the noisiest, and likes to bark at everything that moves.

Weather on the way home from Christmas

What would normally take about 2 hours from Elkton to Mitchell took us about 3 hours and 45 minutes....we only saw 9 accidents on that SHORT trip!
A rather long trip (7 1/2 hours) was made even longer!
5 children 3 and under were not so forgiving!

Final Random Pictures from Christmas East River

A playing with the soccer ball at my cousin Micah and his wife Gretchen's house. View their blog here. Micah, Gretta, and Princess are in the background.
Long time family friend, Glen, joined us on Christmas Eve. As you can see C took to him very quickly!
Isn't little Molly Jo just too cute!

This is Princess putting on a show at Micah and Gretchens house.
Rere, my wonderful brother, and his bride Christy.
Princess is always excited to see Grandpa and Grandma (hint hint...our door is always open!)
Sunshine and Micah's house. He was using Grandpa as a jungle gym!

Good Bye Dear Friend!

Today we said good bye to our wonderful Honda.
We now have a Chevy Suburban, all carseats fit in the truck and we still have room for one extra person! (Grandma better come visit!)
It is a deep blue color, 2005, with only 52,000 miles on it. We truely should not need to buy another set of wheels for a very long time. (I know I know, that is what we said December 16th of 2006....but once we fill this up, if ever, we are DONE!!!)

Ethan eating his cake

He didn't get into it as much as sissy Ada, but he did enjoy it none the less!

More of my parents at Christmas

Every once in a while my dad and my brother start goofing off, and this is what happened on Christmas Eve day!
Dad got the best of Zach...
Zach was hurting...
Dad was proud of himself...

Silly Ada Grace

I am really behind as far as Christmas pictures! This is Ada Grace while we were opening gifts on Christmas Eve at my parents house.

She had more fun with the wrapping than with the gifts she unwrapped!
She played and played.
Had so much fun while doing it.

She really was excited when she learned that she could tear it in two! And three, and four...well you get the picture!
