Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

It is amazing to me how fast time flies. 3 years ago today was our 4th miscarriage and it seems like yesterday. I remember getting woke up by a knock on the door, it was a local florist delivering the most beautiful (and very large) bouquet of Gerbera Daisies I have ever seen...my husband had apparently called his sister to let him know and she had these beautiful flowers sent to our home. There were also many ladies in the church that dropped off food so I could take it easy and rest. I still have a difficult time understanding why the Lord had us endure December 14th 2003, August 20th 2004, January 20th 2005, and April 26th 2005...but for some reason he chose us. I guess I can count myself blessed to be able to see that the Lord sees strength somewhere that I personally do not. I also believe that if Jason and I would not have had the difficulty with pregnancy we would not have our Beautiful Ada Grace nor our Adorable Ethan.

There were so many questions that we did not get answers to, there are two things I am praising God that I can look forward to. #1 ~ I have trusted in my Lord Jesus Christ and know that when my time on this earth is through, I will be spending eternity in heaven. #2 ~ Because I know that heaven is my eternal home, I also know that one day I will be able to have the pleasure of meeting our 4 little ones.

Some people deal with things a little differently than others, I personally like to "celebrate" our babies "birthdays" in a quiet manner. For those of you that know me, you all know that I am not one to be quiet, I do get sad a few days before each "birthday" but the actual day is bittersweet. I am thankful those children do not have to suffer one minute here on this earth. At the same time I (selfishly) wish that I could have met them, known them, held them, and named them. You may notice that loved them isn't on that list...we loved them then, and we still do.

I will end with a poem that was sent to us by someone we do not know via snail mail after the third miscarriage...it is called "The Lamb Story"

In the summer time, when the grass in the lower valleys dries up and withers, the shepherds seek to lead their sheep up the winding, thorny, and stony pathway. The sheep are reluctant to take the hardships; so they turn back and will not follow very far. The shepherds make repeated attempts, but the timid sheep turn back. Finally, a shepherd reaches into the flock and takes a little lamb, and places it under his arm, and then he reaches in and takes up another lamb and places it under the other arm. Then he starts out up the precipitous pathway; soon the mother sheep start to follow, and afterward the entire flock. They ascend the tortuous trail to green pastures.

The Great Shepherd of the sheep, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour, has reached into the flock, and He has picked your lamb. He did not do it to rob you, but to lead you out and upward. He has richer and greener pastures for you, and He wants you to follow. Will you follow Him? You will, if you catch a glimpse of Him.

Fun times!!

Mommy bought Ada Grace and Ethan balls to play with outside this summer. Ethan's is Nemo and Ada Grace's is Princess (what else?) They really like to carry them around the house!
Ada Grace loves hers so much she kisses it!
Ethan has serious bedhead when he wakes up! Time for a hair cut!
Ada Grace has been cheezin out lately...silly girl!
Ethan got away with his sister's ball...we are going to make a man out of him yet. Princess ball, shesh!

Last night

This is the kids last little bit of play time before going to bed last night...they were kind of crazy!
Don't those eyes just get you?
She actually sat still while I did her hair yesterday!

He has the cutest smile.
Big Boy!
He is dancing here...he kind of has some funny moves!
They play pretty well together.
Ada Grace is pretty laid back...sometimes!

Ethans favorite thing to do is empty the toy box all over the floor!
Pretty handsome little man...I love how he wrinkles his nose!
He is a pretty sensitive guy...
Ada Grace and Ethan like when they get a chance to hang out with Daddy!
I couldn't ask for a more wonderful husband...the kids think the same about their Daddy!

Bottoms Up!

This is how I found our little princess while taking her nap on Tuesday! Too cute!

Thanks to all who voted and I will be looking for a new poll to post Monday.

Spring Flowers

The roses are off to a good start!

These are kind of blury, but I am so excited. The lilac bushes are actually going to bloom this year!!! They had been cut down like hedges and we have not had lilacs since we moved here!!!

My Little Cow Pokes!

Ethan and Ada Grace got cowboy gear today!
Ada Grace riding her "horsie" in her new pink and silver bling bling Western Shirt! (notice her John Deere boots)
Ethan in his Wrangler shirt and pants...he doesn't have boots yet.
This was all sparked by his love for Guy's cowboy hat (Guy is a 6 year old boy in our church.)

Cutest little cowboy EVER!
So Aunt Christy, what do you think of that Wrangler patch?

I told him I needed his hat and this is the response I had. He didn't mind giving up his sisters pink boots...but he loves the hat. Poor guy, he will just have a tough time with this until I get to the store to exchange it for a bigger size!

Playtime!

Ada Grace and Ethan were throwing their heads back on the couch and giggling!
This one kind of shows what her attitude has been likd these last few days! Cute, HUH?
Isn't he the most handsome little man in the world?

Sophie...

Sophie will be a year on May 12th...here are some ADORABLE pictures of her.

Beautiful Day!!!

We took some time to play outside this morning because it was around 80! Ethan wasn't so sure of the dry leaves blowing by him...but otherwise we had a great time! I think this picture is adorable!
Ada Grace had a great time, playing and watching Mommy blow bubbles.
Ethan played on his own for a while, but he then just wanted to sit on my lap and watch Sissy.
Ada Grace driving her truck...

Ethan playing with the truck and Ada Grace checking out some dry leaves in the grass.
Isn't that outfit just too cute? The shirt and shorts are from the end of the season last year and the hat is new.
Ada Grace still checking out the dry leaves. She was kind of afraid of them!
Ethan being a boy.
We had a great time and after Ethan's therapist left we hopped in the John Deere wagon and went for a nice walk and visited Mommy's work! The kids are very tired and now are sleeping away, which is good because Mommy needs to get ready for company tonight!
