Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Okay, Okay

Okay already...after I have had so many people tell me that I never put pictures of myself on the blog...here are a few. Terrible pictures...and I really did do my hair, but the howling wind we had today just didn't do anything for me.
Anyway, my new haircut and color...
Hope this makes Mom, Melissa, and Monica all happy...and all the others that have been asking!!!

It's your birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE DELANEY!

One Year Ago!!!

It is amazing to think that one year ago tomorrow (March 30th) was the day that we had friends and family join us at the courthouse for the finalization of Ada Grace's adoption!!! It is so hard to believe...where does time go? All that I know is that we have so many things to be thankful for, and only God to thank.

Of course there were so many of you that prayed and prayed for us while we were going through the adoption process and the miscarriages. We do hope that soon we will be able to once again invite you all to join us at the courthouse in Deadwood for Ethan.

"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night," Psalm 92: 1-2

Nice Trick!!!

This is a picture of Ada Grace while she is doing her "trick."
Ethan decided to copy sissy and now he does "tricks" as well!

Here they are about to bonk heads while trying to get into their "trick" position!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDDOS!

Pictures later...

I just needed to share with everyone, today I am the Mommy to an 18 month old princess and a 15 month old handsome little man!!! It is crazy to think that Ada Grace is already a year and a half, where does time go.

Anyway, once they are up and going there will be pictures for you later!

So friends and family...

If you would all send my your birthdays and anniversaries via email or leaving me a comment on the blog I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks, Ashley

I didn't get a picture 8-(

I need to start remembering to have my camera with me and on when I go in to get the kids first thing in the morning. Some of the cutest and funniest things are happeneing when they are playing in there!

This morning I walked in on Ethan, who didn't hear me, to find him sitting bent over in half trying to suck his toes! He is would his head just a little, wiggle his toes, giggle, then go back to sucking them. My thought was, "is your thumb broken?"

Anyway, when he finally realized I was standing there I looked at me, smiled, and said "Dadd da"

Silly boy!

It's your birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY COUSIN SETH!!!!

The Gulf and more

Ada Grace was able to dip her feet in the ocean when she was only 2 days old. We enjoyed this time with Daddy and Grandma before they left on September 29th 2006.

This was taken at the apartment while Ada Grace and I had our week alone to bond before we could come home! This is a shirt Grandma Pam had gotten from Puerto Vallarta before she even had Grandbabies!
Here she is wearing a dress that was mine when I was a baby. It was very nice in Texas while we were there plus 100% humidity. Ada Grace and Mommy were able to fly home on October 6th 2006. She had a wonderful welcome waiting for her when she landed in South Dakota!!!

Lost pictures...

Well not really, I found our old camera and there was still a roll of film in it! It has pictures from Texas when Ada Grace was born!

I cannot believe that we waited 18 months to develope them!
