Fun at Friends

These first pictures are at some church members house last Thursday. I go there often for stamping and card making. This time we were there to make candles.


Princesswas able to sit on Grandma Pancakes pint size park bench. I think she has it in her garden just for the grandkids!
While Boo was sleeping, I took Princess for a ride on the the 4 wheeler. She wasn't sure about it when we started, but she cried when it was time to be "all done" one of her favorite phrases!

Going away for the weekend

The kids and I are leaving Daddy for the weekend...we finally got in to see a specialist in Sioux Falls! The kids and myself will be heading out around 7 am tomorrow to spend Friday & Saturday at my parents house. Sunday we will be going to church in Lake Benton and then Mom will be coming with us to get a hotel in Sioux Falls. We have to be at Sanford early Monday morning and have tests all day long. The kids and I will be able to be reunited with Daddy again on Tuesday afternoon.

Unfortunately we will be missing a court date...but there wasn't much that I would have been involved with. I just like to go hear first hand what is happening.

Anyway, life has been a little crazy this week...sorry for the shortage of pictures!

More Tuesday Night Fun!

We decided to bundle the kids a little more and go for a walk on Tuesday night. They seemed to really enjoy it, as did Mama and Daddy. Fall is our time of the year....if you all lived here it would be yours as well! It is beautiful!


The kids love going for walks....as long as we do not stop to talk to too many people. When Daddy is so well known around town, that is getting to be more and more of an issue (for the kids...Mama and Daddy enjoy it!)
When we arrived home, we actually let our kids crawl around in only their diaper...I cannot remember that we have ever done that before. They really enjoyed that!

With Boo's theropy, we get toys on loan once in a while. This blue pony/donkey thing has been one of the kids' favorites and thus we have been able to keep it around for a while. He just loves to kiss it...he will crawl up to it often and kiss it on the nose! He also loves to chew on the ears!
Princess, on the other hand, loves to bounce on it! She is starting to get a little wild in her bouncing and tips over often!

A wonderful fall evening!

Tuesday night we had a wonderful time outside with the kids. Handsome was doing some work on the house, and we decided we were going to bundle up a bit and watch Daddy.
Princess didn't like the noise of the neighbor working on his car.
Boo thought the leaves were tasty, along with the dirt in Mama's plants he has since found!
As long as Princess was next to her brother she seemed happy!









Parenthood is wonderful....the best feeling in the world is when Ada looks at me and says "Mommy" ~ you really should hear it...she says it so cute. The feeling that ties as the best feeling in the world is when Ethan simply smiles because he sees me...I am sure Mama will be coming into his vocabulary soon.

SA at 4 months!

Isn't my niece SA just too beautiful! Just saw these new pics and had to share!

Cannot wait to see her as well as her parents! We have not seen SA or her Daddy since she was under 1 month....too long!

Party Part 2

We had a great time with Princess's party...not as many people came as we were hoping, but when we live so far away (as I have heard) I guess we have to understand! She was the star of the show, Boo slept almost all the way through.
I was really impressed with the cake that Wal-Mart made for us. It was beautiful!
She REALLY enjoyed her cake. Since it was her first birthday, Wal-Mart gave her a small cake for her very own. She had cake everywhere...but Daddy didn't help matters, he kept getting her to put her hands up and thus getting cake and frosting all in her hair. After the cake, the guest of honor had to leave for a moment to get dunked in the tub!
Boo spent most of the time he was awake with his buddy.

1st Birthday Party

I am really sorry about the fact that you have to watch this sideways...I have not found a way to turn it around...maybe there isn't....I have such a little amount of knowledge of these things you know!

Happy Birthday Princess!

Well, a year ago right now we were some where between Spearfish, SD and Houston, TX. It was so much fun waking up this morning and remembering "a year ago we became parents, and a year ago our daughter was born." So funny to realize that a year ago yesterday we were at the point of giving up on ever having children at all, then overnight we had a daughter! What a wonderful year it has been! As you can see in this picture she has her birthday hat (I thought she should have a tiara!) and her "princess" sash!
We have yard signs for the special occasion!
On her first birthday she discovered our DVD rack! She was escaping as I took the picture!
Here she is "opening" her CD player. We already burned one out from all the times that we play music for the kids (although it was only $19.97 at Wal.Mart!) We decided that our "big" gift for both the kids' first birthdays will be these little bit nicer CD players that mount on the wall. That way they each will have one in their own rooms and they each can have different music. (Ada will have the softer music because she is already starting to dance alot!! Shes got the moves! I am sure there will be more pictures after this weekend and the big birthday party...there is still time to RSVP...grab a plane and come to Spearfish!

9 Months Today!

Today Boo is 9 months old! Hard to believe it...when I went to get him this morning I found him standing in his crib, holding the side rail! This one is actually at nap time and he is only kneeling, but I just couldn't believe it!
We also had to take a picture with Daddy, although Boo is crying in the picture...I still had to post the two men in my life!

This was great....I really loved it. It was so much fun to watch all of the animals in a "natural" habitat! I really liked the gift shop as well, Handsome and myself ~ being married 5 full years~ have become a matching sweatshirt couple! The great thing about September tourists is that you get 30 - 40% off!

We had a great time...the other thing that we were able to buy was the world's most unique Nativity Set...I bet Aunt Wendy doesn't have one like this! I will have to get it unpacked and take a picture so you all can see!

We did some very "turist" things while in Keystone this time. This was alot of fun, I took picture after picture. I would highly recommend for anyone in the hills that would like a piece of history. 1st one...George Washington

Our Get Away

Due to Sturgis Bike Rally and our house not being sold on our anniversary, we didn't get proper time to celebrate. We took this past weekend to do so...it is late on Sunday evening...so I am not going to go into detail.....just give you all something to look at in the morning!

It was also our first time kid free for a year! I wasn't sure about it, but Handsome said it was necessary, we did enjoy ourselves. More tomorrow!

Princess really doesn't let anyone get in her way! She is trying to get the peek a block and brother is no obsticle for her! He doesn't seem to mind as long as she leaves his eyes and head alone!

A Birthday Gift

I know Princess isn't one until next Thursday, but when things come in the mail and they don't know the difference....you just gotta have them try it out. She really likes the "John Deere Song." It is a great little toy!
