Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Last Weekend with the Norgaards'

Since our parents live only 15 miles apart, we stayed with my family to be able to get some time with them. Saturday night the kids got a little wound up while playing with Grandma and Grandpa...here are some pictures to enjoy!
Ada Grace, "Bampa Go?" {Grandpa Go?}
Grandma, "Where DID Grandpa Go?"
AG started trying to wrestle with her brother...
Again...
Ada Grace has gotten a kick out of looking at pictures on cameras...apparently she really liked the one Grandma showed here!
Both kids checking out Grandmas pictures!
Grandma trying for a self picture
AG and E getting into TROUBLE!
AG trying to get E to do something for her...
They are telling us stories!
I don't know what my silly kids are doing this for, but they were kissing Grandma's coffee table! No kidding! I think they could see themselves, what vein little children we have!

AG and Grandpa played this little game with the bus...the would say, "Read, Set, GO!" and push it back and forth...AG did pretty good and she just really enjoyed the playtime with Grandpa
LOVE this picture! She was running from Grandma, had turned around to look behind her, and when she faced forward again she saw the table in front of her...she missed it by a mile, BUT...when in doubt CLOSE YOUR EYES!!! lol
It made for a cute picture!
Ethan kissing himself in Grandmas entertainment center...
Lookin good in the green among the plants
Hanging out with Grandma...he sat there for a LONG time!
Peek A Boo
Really liked Grandmas camera

Last Weekend with the Hartungs'

Last weekend was the annual Hartung Family BBQ. After Jamey and Kelly's wedding on Friday night we loaded up the truck and headed East (the VERY wrong side of the river!) It was the first time that all 8 Hartung cousins were together, and Ethan's first official time with our last name! Here are a few pictures to show you our short time together...
This was at supper time: Grete Lace and Nadia
Still at supper time: Harold, Jeremy, and Jason at the table and Grete Lace, Ethan, and Katia playing on the floor.
Jennie and Alexa finishing up their supper...can you tell that they are Mama and Daughter?
We didn't get a picture of everyone together...this one was taken right before we left and Eric, Melissa, and Sophie had already gone. Hopefully at Christmas we will be able to get all 8!
Nadia, Katia, Ada Grace, Ashley [me], Ethan, Grete Lace, Flint, and Alexa
Flint ~ growing up so fast! When flint was about Ethans age and younger him and I were best of buds!
Grete Lace...I LOVE this picture!
Margaret (Grandma Hartung) and Grete Lace
Harold (Grandpa Hartung)

Jeremy
Katia Heidi
Melissa and Sophie, Mel didn't know that I was going to take a picture!
Melissa and Sophie again...
"I want YOU!"

I have taken a break from Blogging...

Just for this week...sorry I didn't warn you earlier! I watched our little bud, Slayter on Tuesday and get to again tomorrow. I also have been spending extra time outside with the kiddos and working on finding homes for the puppies! They can go to their new mommies or daddies 3 weeks from tomorrow...where does time go?

Anyway, I apologize for all of you who have not discovered RSS feeds that have been checking the blog every day with no reward!

Wild Woman!

So I know I have said this all along, but the kids are at a really fun stage right now! Now that they are able to verbally interact and understand {to a certain extent} what we are doing and saying it is really alot of fun! Ada Grace the other day woke up before her brother ~not normal~ and we had this crazy fun time while waiting for E to wake up!I feel bad I didn't get the other half of this picture because it is cute! The kids move all the time and it is difficult to not get half of them or blury pictures!
Dancing
Pretending to feed herself
And wanting to feed Mommy.
She is such a sweet little girl...it will be fun to continue to get to know her and see what kind of a personality she ends up with. She can be loud and silly, then turn around and be quiet and sweet the very next second...

Ethan Alexander

This picture cracks me up! If the kids are allowed into Daddy's office (our formal living room) these days you can often find Ethan in the dining room looking down at us! I guess it makes him feel big or something, but the other day I caught this picture....he is such a happy little guy {most of the time!}

We will be leaving

Tonight after Jason is finished with his coworkers wedding I will be driving and he will be sleeping all the way to my parents house! We plan on getting in around 4 am and then tomorrow is the annual Hartung Family BBQ.

But do not worry...it is all set up so there will still be posts of my beautiful children while we are gone...I know how much my 3 faithful readers need their cup of lovebeingmama.blogspot.com every morning!

Things take a little longer these days!

So as I have mentioned before Ada Grace is wanting to do EVERYTHING like a big person does. That includes helping Mommy with everything. The other night she wanted to badly to help me make supper for the church people so I have to break things down and look into what she can help with. Since I was frying hamburger, I came up with the idea of allowing her to put the noodles in the water! It was simple and harmless, but it made her happy!
She tried to "snitch" but decided that wasn't a great idea
After making supper, she decided to WOW us with her ability to play "iano" {piano}
After finishing that task she decided that she was going to tell us a story. If you notice that tear in her eye, she was asked to stop playing piano for sake of conversation...she didn't think that was a wonderful idea
While cooking supper, folding {refolding} laundery, watering flowers, loading & unloading dishwasher & washer n dryer, doing my hair, taking care of the puppies, and most other duties in life are taking at least double the time that they used to....I count it a blessing that my daughter wants to do things like her Mama! Thank you God for such a blessing!

Sunday Evening

Well what a better way to wrap up the evening of our 6th anniversary than playing with our children. Some people may not agree, but we have talked about having children since our honeymoon! And when it looked like we might not have children, we just cannot let them go often...even for a few hours! We are thankful to god for the wonderful blessings he has given us in Ada Grace and Ethan.
Right now they are doing everything Mommy and Daddy are doing. I thought this was just too cute, Daddy was laying on the floor and Ada Grace and Ethan just joined right in! Ada Grace says, "Welax" (relax)Daddy was also giving horsie rides
Ada Grace is really into telling stories, but while doing this she has to get herself into 'story telling position'...
Loving Daddy
Our little beauty
All 4 of us have been seeing the chiropractor for a while now, just once a week to keep us in great shape...at least our backs! Anyway, now AG thinks she needs to be a chiropractor to anyone that will let her!
Resting with Daddy

Telling Daddy another story
Handing out smiles on the way home from Rapid
There was a really nice picture of Ethan sitting in this chair smiling so sweetly, but I thought this one fit his personality a little better!
Our snuggle bug...but only when he is tired~
Playtime with Daddy is always a favorite of both children
