I grew up knowing how important family was. The day of my Grandpa's funeral was a wonderful day. It was difficult, because I now have to wait until I get to heaven before I see him again, but at the same time it was glorious! First of all, we all know how much Grandpa was wanting to see Grandma again. On top of seeing her, of course, was seeing his Savior. When all of his friends and family gathered togeter on that Saturday, there was a great family gathering. Isn't it sad how it takes a funeral to get everyone together? We were able to see many people that we had not seen for a while. Some of the people that I was really glad to see were the A Family, Mrs. Sharon A, J & L A, and S A (mom, two sons & daughter-in-law). The As have always been special people to our family, Mr. Wayne A was my Grandpa & Grandma's preacher for some time in the 80's. I was about 5, and considered J one of my best friends (he was a senior in high school at the time.) Anyway, somewhere in there, I have been told, that I was sharing with the world that I was going to marry J...things didn't work out that way. I did get to be in his wedding 14 years ago, and that was the last time I saw the As. They really made a difference in my life, and I am thankful to the entire family for teaching me some of the most important things that I have learned in life.
This picture is obviously not of the As. It is of my family though, I just thought it was a special picture and wanted to share it. My brother and his fiance, with Handsome, myself, and our children.
