Daily Verse

Sunday~
"How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from you commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Psalm 119:9-11

Why do we try to conform God to our will? Live in His word and know true joy.

Monday~
"Make me to know your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. Remember your mercy, O LORD, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old."
Psalm 25:4-6

God reveals the truth of our time and all time to us through Scripture.

Tuesday~
"The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the tstimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple: the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb."
Psalm 19:7-10

All the laws in all the books in all the libraries of the world are but a footnote to the law of God.

Wednesday~
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

To know and understand God comes not through our intellect, but through the wisdom given to us by the grace of God.

Thursday~
"My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."
Proverbs 3:1-3

Don't measure success by society's standards. Use Christ as your measuring stick.

Friday~
"The the LORD answered Job our of the whirlwind and said: 'Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding, Who determined its measurements - surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? Or who laid its cornerstond...?'"
Job 38:1, 4-6

When we measure God by our limited standards, we attempt to measure the elephant by weighing one strand of its hair.

Saturaday~
"Philip said to him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so lon, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?'"
John 14:8-9

Christ is God made flesh. If you want to know God, you must draw closer to Jesus.

Day 3 outside...to the park!

Wednesdays are my slower days around here still, and last week we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and we walked to the park!

Boo had the most fun it seems...

Miss MR took a little snooze in the stroller (she was on her way down here)We had snacksThis is about the only smile I got out of Princess that day, she got stung by a wasp and was afraid of every bug after that!Enjoying snacksMiss KB was looking very summery and enjoyed the shade under the playground... Princess did take to climbing, she actually made it all the way to the top...but I couldn't be taking pictures of her while she was high!

*Just a little side note about Princess, on the way there we were walking and she said, "Mommy, stop to rest my toes, I need!" I just thought it was waaaayyy to cute!

A little fun at the Patch!

Princess is my little mommy and she loves to take care of the little ones when she can! You will hear her remind her Mommy that I forgot to give her the treat she earned for going potty, but otherwise she is perfectly contect getting little M to giggle away!

My Kids

Well, the blog has suffered a little bit in the last couple of weeks. I apologize, with all the interviews I have done and getting ready to have 4-5 more children in our home every day with Pumpkin Patch Daycare, AND having two little FOSTER boys around! Yeah, no joke! I know what we said in the past, but a friend of ours needed respite for 2 weeks due to her mothers 80th Birthday...so we said that we would watch the little ones while she was gone. It really hasn't been too bad, they actually go to daycare during the day so we have them from 5 pm ~ 9 am. The 1 year old is teething pretty bad at the moment, so that hasn't been much fun...but the two year old already helps put the toys in the RIGHT places and Princess & Sunshine love playing with him! My thing is making sure the toys are all in the right place...might be something that I have to get a little less crazy about with a home daycare, but we shall see.

Anyway, on the daycare front. We have 1 part time 15 month old little girl, and just got a confirmation call about an ADORABLE 6 week old girl starting next week/full time. I had another interview today and I really enjoyed that Mommy and would be happy to watch her 10 month old daughter 4 days a week! Those are the possibilities right now. I do have a couple that called to get information today, but have not set up an interview time yet...they have a 4 week old baby boy. Sunshine is hoping for some boys around...since he so far is the only one! Will keep you posted here.

As for those of you that just HAVE to have your fix of pics of our kids...I have three for you tonight. The first one has made an appearance before, of their shadows.

This one was on the 1st of October and I just love how the sun sparkles so pretty on the creek...notice which of the children is wet!

This is just before they threw the stick into the creek together! I love my kiddos and love seeing more and more of their personality EVERY day!
Check out Princess in this pic ~ this was her rock throwing stance! I don't make this stuff up...she is too funny!

Pumpkin Patch Daycare

As of today Pumpkin Patch Daycare is officially open for business! I am so excited about this as something in my has always wanted to own a business, and everything inside me loves children! Handsome and I have been praying about doing something like this for a while now, and the time has come! We are looking to have 6 children total (including Princess & Sunshine) and my goal is to have them all be 2 & under! But that isn't the way it would have to be, so we shall see who God brings into our home. At this point we have started with JH, a 15 month old little girl. She is a cutie, that is for sure. If you are in our neck of the woods and are in need of daycare, give Pumpkin Patch Daycare a call!
