Nice Weather!
So we are having a VERY nice day today, considering the beginning of this week brought us 6+ inches of snow! There was even still some snow falling yesterday....but today, well that is a different story! We are creeping up on 70, the sun is shining, the very beautiful especially blue sky I love about this place is filled with happy puffy clouds, the birds are finding worms in the warm still wet ground so they are happy too! Actually lots of critters are 'out and about' taking in this nice day...including this little guy:

A Mother's Day Poem
Today is a day to celebrate life
Celebrate the roles of mother and wife.
Two roles I enjoy a great deal,
but also require time to heal.
Many see me celebrating four years now
And that if fine I am learning how.
But I have a secret hidden deep below,
One not many care to know.
I was a mom before you knew
We have lost babies, two and two.
Four micarriages broke my heart,
Before our living family would start.
So today is a day I remember all
Both the children who Mama do me call
And the ones Jesus has with Him above.
To each of them I give so much love!

Dancin' Queen
Last weekend we were able to watch our Princess in her 2nd dance recital! She did very well (in my opinion) and it was fun to see how much she had learned and grown since last year! She is already bummed that she didn't get to wake up today and go to dance class, but Mommy was a little excited for the break! More pictures to come later...just happy we have the blog up and running again, now I have time to make up for!

Thankful Thursday
Today I am thankful for the BEST husband a girl could ask for, a wonderful friend who took me out last night, and a forgiving God who looks at me and sees someone worth sending his Son to die for! That is alot to be thankful for! I also am thankful for the time we had with Mom last week, my two wonderful children and our twin foster girls that we are praying might just get to stay here with us forever...we shall see what God has in store and it will be a long time before we know...but we are praying!

What does it mean?
So we all know how much we love kids in this house! I have said before that if we lived in a perfect world where my body allowed me to house a precious little one for 9 months and safely deliver that same perfect little one and $$$ wasn't a hurdle to jump every time I blinked, I could easily become the next Michelle Duggar! I.LOVE.KIDS!
Well, my little BooBear, who is affectionately referred to as Sunshine more than anything now, is almost 3 1/2 and still is NOT interested in taking time out of his day to go potty on the big potty because that is what diapers are for. If I didn't have a daycare I would just put him in undies and deal with the mess until he didn't like that any more....BUT, I have a daycare and I have to keep things sanitary so that isn't an option around here. ANYWAY, my mom was here over the weekend and we discovered that yet again Boos diaper was soaking wet and we had just sat down to eat a night time snack...jokingly Handsome told Boo to go change his own diaper, because if he is going wet it he can change it! We fully didn't expect this of him, in fact I didn't know it was even possible. Shortly after I saw him putting a folded up wet diaper away and he came out and told us he was finished! The child changed his own diaper! Does this happen? How can a child be strong willed enough to not go potty in the potty chair but decide that when his diaper is wet he can change it himself.
He has done it a couple of times since then, one being this morning! He woke up and I asked him if his diaper was wet...he told me that it was and I was feeding one of the twins so I asked him to wait until I had finished. Well then all of a sudden he said, "I do it Mama!" He very dutifully walked over to his diaper drawer and picked one for himself. He then walked into the bathroom, was in there for about 10 minutes, came out fully dressed with the wet diaper folded up nicely for the trash and walked over and threw it away! He came over for me to inspect and he had done almost as well as if I had done it myself....
SOOOOO, anyone have any suggestions? I mean, really, this is insane! Please leave suggestions in the comments box....this is a whole new playing field to me! He has just upped the anty!

3 yr old conversations....
Now that Princess and BooBear are sharing a room on account of the twins, it is funny to sometimes listen to their morning conversations. They tend to stay in the room just sitting on their bed chatting across the room until they hear the first daycare client show up. Well this morning was no different...
I hear Boo ask, "so what are you gonna wear today?"
Princess, "I think I wanna wear a dress!"
Boo, "When I am a girl I will where a dress someday."
Princess, "You are not a girl, you will be a boy forEVER!"
Boo, "Someday."
Princess, "I don't think we should talk about this any more."
It is too funny to hear what they have swimming around in their heads!

Happy Blogoversary!!!!
It was three years ago today that I started this blog...crazy to think that at that time I had a 7 month old and a 4 month old! Now three years later they are three and we have 4 1/2 month old twin girls staying with us for a while...how long? We are unsure...if they get to stay forever we would be more than happy!
Thank you to each and every one of you that faithfully read the blog...I am still working on the whole picture thing...not getting many answers though!
Have a great day!

Thankful Thursday
So it is that day of the week again, that day that I try to set aside to be Thankful in Everything...
Today, I am thankful for a husband to loves and cares...
I am thankful for my two children that get excited when I come home from even half an hour away...
I am thankful for our two foster girls that Handsome brought into our room smiling at 6:30 this morning...
I am thankful for friends who want to be a part of your life...
I am thankful for the Bible Study we started in our home two weeks ago...
I am thankful for Salvation...
I am thankful for my wonderful Seester...
I am thankful for parents who want to be around and involved in our lives...
I am thankful for a roof over our head (though am praying for a little bigger one for daycare)...
I am thankful for being over the 40 lbs mark...
I am thankful for the beauty of Spring...
It doesn't take long to be able to think of gripes we have with our life, troubles at work, not enough money, not enough time, wishing you had more friends....blah blah blah....we've been there. We ARE there! But it is good for a person to dwell on good things....Philippeans 4:8 says so, it took me only the time to type the "I am thankful for" be be able to come up with my next one, that list could be 5X longer EASY!
But I will spare you...my challege, sit down for five minutes and think of the thinks you can be thankful for and than thank Him for them! I dare you!

♫ Your Hands by JJ Heller ♫
I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn't there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That You would take my pain away
That You would take my pain away
I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crookedly lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands
When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know You hate to see me cry
One day You will set all things right
Yea, one day You will set all things right
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands
Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave You when...
When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave...
I never leave Your hands

A new journey...
So on top of the fact that I have not been able to post pictures on my blog we have added a new 'hat' to our collection. We currently are a temporary family of six! Last Wednesday I went to a hospital about 50 miles away and brought home 4 month old twin girls. It has been fun, it has been tiring, it has been special, and it has been good and hard on our two! Of course, at this point they are with us as foster girls...but if any of you know us you know that if they had the option of staying in our home forever we would not be able to say 'YES' fast enough!
At this point we know really, nothing, about them...we have not received any information about birth parents or anything. They had their 4 month check up/immunizations last Friday (my husbands birthday) and we didn't even get info about how that went! But, at this point they are seemingly thriving in our home. The bigger one we will call Miss 'Tude has gained at least three pounds this week just getting regular feedings and a little love and attention. The small one we will call EskiMo...she is much smaller than her sister and is having a tough time with regular feedings and constipation. We look forward to getting to know these girls and having them with us for how ever long they will stay!
But please bear with me as I am now a Mama of four (even if only temporary) and still providing daycare...

A Special Day...
March 30th 2007 will always be a very special day, one we celebrate yearly around our home...it is the day our first adoption was finalized! Our Princess became ours, "as if she was naturally birthed to you" I believe the His Honor said! It was an amazing day! Just six short months after she quickly entered into our lives she was ours and no one could ever change that.
I have been throwing around in my head over the last 48 hours what today's post would hold...at one point I even considered not posting today, but that just wouldn't be right. So many things have changed since that day...while she has been a spunky little one since the very beginning one could never know just who she would become. As best as you can tell in her 3 1/2 years of life it seems she is going to be a natural Mommy, she is caring and sweet to the little ones. She is going to be like me in some ways, not let any one push her around and stand her ground when she believes in something (not a bad trait to have.) But the Mothering is what catches my eyes and is on my mind much of the time right now...she is smart, and she pays attention to every little detail of interaction between people. She is tender. If you watch her for even a little while she will be around any baby in the room and if there isn't a real baby to be talking to and making sure they are well cared for she is finding something to be her baby. I have seen stuffed rabbits, to rubber ducks, to her dolls and ever her brother once in a while that are her 'babies.' Just last week she told me that when she is 4 she will get her ears pierced, when she is sixteen she will get more (I have my ears pierced 3 times in one ear and twice in the other), when she is 19 she will find her husband and she will have a white and purple wedding, then they will have 7 kids...some will grow in her tummy and some will grow in her heart, just like she did in mine! What three year old plans her life like that, and those that do, how many of them have such thought into it! Her care amazes me, there is a girl at church that can often be seen by herself and while our church is meeting in a school and we do not allow our children to run around and play (they must stay by us or by one of the few other 'okay' adults) she always asks me if I think so and so is okay. The other day her and BooBear were watching a video, about 45 minutes of it anyway, and the entire time she stood holding this stuffed rabbit bouncing with it and saying the Mommy "shhhhhshhhhhshhh" while patting it's bottom and occassionally throwing in a "it's gonna be alright, Babe!" I only wish she was as careing and thoughtful with EVERYTHING in life, but hey...she is only 3 1/2 and she is already boy crazy!
Anyway, I say all that to bring us to this: About a year ago she began asking if she would have any more brothers or a sister and so my Handsome and I decided to choose a boy name and a girl name and then we could pray each day for the children by name and so our Princess and BooBear could see Gods hand in answering those prayers one day. So on Valentines day we agreed on two names boy (O.O.H) and girl (E.D.H) and we have been praying for them since. They are talked about as if they are real people that exsist somewhere in the world (maybe the do already?) and we already have a pair of green Johnny Deere boots for O and an adorable Gym.boree polk-a-dotted raincoat with matching sunglasses for E. I also carry in my purse a baggie with one of BooBears baby socks and one of the Princess' baby socks to remind myself to pray for O & E to come home one day! Anyway, when chatting with Princess yesterday about how today was such a special day I asked her what could make it more special and she responded with "if E & O could come home!" How tender, while I was fulling expecting to hear about the Princess & the Frog purse at the store or her purple bike with a seat for baby George (one of her dolls) she came out with real, tender, raw emotion.
I do not see the likeliness of bringing E or O home today, stranger things have happened...but I do know one thing. I thank God for putting this wonderful, precious, lovely, little lady into our lives. She is full of life and reminds me often of myself...but I cannot even remember what life was like without her...of course we have the same feelings for BooBear, but his post doesn't come until August 1st! I just know that God blessed us the day that she entered our lives. I know that she is going to keep us on her toes and if the prayers of a 3 year old get heard and answered the likliness of E & O coming home are very probable...but maybe I should ask her to start praying for a way to 'find the money' for E or O's adoptions!
I found this poem on the internet today and read it through tears....all I found for an Author was "Estelle" which ironically is in the running if we end up having more than one more little girl! (This particular E doesn't stand for Estelle...) But this poem really reaches down into my heart in how I feel about not only Princess, but BooBear...and I am sure any other children God chooses to bless us with!

Another good old song!
While watching the Gospel hour on the Inspirational channel tonight we heard this song...I have not heard it for a while and I love it! Couldn't find it on my player to put up for you to hear...but it is a good old gospel song!
♫OH GLORIOUS LOVE♫
In my darkness Jesus found me,
Touched my eyes and made me see;
Broke sin's chain that long had bound me,
Gave me life and liberty.
Oh glorious love of Christ my Lord Divine,
That made Him stoop to save a soul like mine;
Through all my days and then in Heaven above,
My song will silence never, I'll worship him forever,
And praise Him for His glorious love.
My song will silence never, I'll worship him forever,
And praise Him for His glorious love.
Oh amazing truth to ponder,
He whom angel host attend;
Lord of Heaven, God's Son what wonder,
He became the sinner's friend.
Oh glorious love of Christ my Lord Divine,
That made Him stoop to save a soul like mine;
Through all my days and then in Heaven above,
My song will silence never, I'll worship him forever,
And praise Him for His glorious love.
My song will silence never, I'll worship him forever,
And praise Him for His glorious love.
Oh glorious love of Christ my Lord Divine,
That made Him stoop to save a soul like mine;
Through all my days and then in Heaven above,
My song will silence never, I'll worship him forever,
And praise Him for His glorious love.
My song will silence never, I'll worship him forever,
I'll worship him forever, My song will end no never
I'll worship him forever,
And praise Him for His glorious love.
Praise Him for His love.
