I have tried a few things with yeast here and there and could never get something to turn out. HOWEVER, after being in Chicago with Aunt Wendy and getting the recipe for Carmel rolls...I decided it was time to try it. SO, I am so excited because it seems that I will be able to pass on a Norgaard tradition to my daughter. Now if only I could master the lefse.

I too was afraid of the yeast cooking, but now I love trying new bready recipes! I have a great sourdough starter that makes everything from pancakes to whole wheat bread!
