Sunday ~ "Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seased with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." Colossians 4:5~6
Kind words & a loving heart are key ingredients to effective evangelization.
Monday ~ "Martha said to Jesus, 'Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.' Jesus said to her, 'Your brother will rise again.' " John 11:21~23
In response to Martha's pain and yearning, Christ offers comfort and hope. Reach out to him in your times of trials, and let him offer you the hope that tomorrow brings.
Tuesday ~ "And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, 'Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?' But when he heard it, he said, 'Those who are well have no need of a physicians, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice. For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.' " Matthew 9:11~13
Christ sought out the weak, not to shame them but to offer them the strength that comes through loveing Him.
Wednesday ~ "So Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.' " John 6:53~56
To be truly nourished, you must feast on Christ. Fill yourself with his presence, wash away your thrist for truth with his blood, quench your hunger for purity with his holy flesh. Be satisfied through Christ.
Thursday ~ "And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, 'It is a ghost!' and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.' " Matthew 14:25~27
If a sea of troubles is rocking your boat, open your heart to Jesus and hear his words, "Do not be afraid," for He is with you.
Friday ~ "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28~30
Christ's burden is easy because we do not carry it alone -- we have Jesus Himself as a partner!
Saturday ~ "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Lt not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, I am going away, and I will come to you. If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I." John 14:27-28
We are all seeking peace -- with ourselves, with others, with the world around us. Jesus offers us peace with no strings attached.
