There are several houses in town that have been totally destroyed by this water. It was so sad to drive down this street and see house after house with windows knocked out, water coming out the front door, and having tree limbs and other things strewn across their yard. I took a picture of a couple, but then just couldn't do it because it is someones life that has been turned upside down.
This is the Nash Street Bridge, only 3 blocks from us, where the Spearfish Creek comes through town. This picture
doesn't do the actual site justice, the water is hitting the other side of the bridge, going under, and flying up on this side. It was quite amazing.
